New to the network: YHA Chester Trafford Hall

Positive news has often felt in short supply over the past 18 months, so this summer we’re delighted to be able to welcome a brand new hostel to the network: YHA Chester Trafford Hall.

Set in a handsome neoclassical Georgian mansion – complete with stone dressings and a Grade II listing – it sits just over four miles from the historical Roman heart of Chester itself, in the little village of Wimbolds Trafford.

YHA Chester Trafford Hall back

The hostel, which is owned by our partners The Regenda Group but operated by us here at YHA, has top-notch environmental credentials, being heated by 100% renewable energy and also playing host to a carbon-neutral annexe and an organic kitchen garden. Accommodation-wise it has 53 en-suite rooms – all sleeping between two and five – and also has extensive group and meeting facilities.

YHA Chester Trafford Hall’s strategic location in the North West, at the gateway to Chester, will play a significant role in our aim to welcome 5 million people to stay with us over the next five years. It offers affordable accommodation for young people, families and schools. It’s a great location for education residentials and corporate away days too.
