Lydiard House & Park

Wiltshire has numerous historic country homes. Amongst the finest is this beautiful estate on the western edge of Swindon. The site is home to the Palladian House, a church and a walled garden. Stonehenge

Longleat

Both an English stately home and home to a safari park, this is one of the great things to do in Wiltshire. It’s guaranteed to satisfy every taste. The house within 900 acres of grounds close to the village of Horningsham, the house itself is considered one of the country’s finest and best preserved examples of Elizabethan architecture. Longleat park also offers the chance to get up-close and personal with an array of exotic wildlife, including rhinos, giraffes, lemurs, wallabies, meerkats, sea lions and penguins.

Wiltshire Museum

Wiltshire Museum takes you through 500,000 years of history through galleries, displays and exhibits. Dating back to the Neolithic era, this museum offers a fun experience for all who visit. It is ran by the Archaeological and Natural History Society. Also, there plenty for children to enjoy too, including the chance to build your own Stonehenge. A great day out in Wiltshire for all the family.
