Can’t wait to get glamping? Many of our hostels have many quirky accommodation options to make the most of this season, with camping pods, bell tents, Landpods, Airstreams, cabins, tipis and more landing in our gardens and grounds. If you enjoy camping but prefer a few home comforts – or just fancy a new experience outdoors – our glamping alternatives are for you. Take a look…
Camping pods
Get a view of the stars and a great night’s sleep with our camping pods. If you’ve stayed in one of these beauties before, you’ll know they’re like domed wooden tents and are well protected from the elements. The large pods have a double futon and two single beds, so you don’t even have to bring a camping mat or sleeping bag. With heating inside and a decking area outside, add some luxury to your YHA glamping adventure.
Bell tents
Want that festival feeling in the grounds of a hostel? Our bell tents are part of our glamping experience and offer a spacious environment to chill out in. They can sleep four people and are kitted out with a double bed, two single beds and bedding. You’ll also find beanbags to relax on, eco-friendly lighting and stylish bohemian furniture. All bell tents include a BBQ fire pit to keep you extra cosy, and there’s an integrated log burner for you to cosy up next to in the colder months.
Landpods
Sense of adventure? Check. Close to nature? Check. Home comforts? Naturally. Think of them as a cosy cross between a camping pod and a standard canvas tent. On legs! The Landpods have double-insulated roofs – making them fully waterproof – LED lighting, windows and lockable doors. Best of all, however, the roof can be half-opened, unveiling your temporary home to the elements. The perfect sport for stargazing. Our landpods have been newly extended to allow for a comfortable night’s stay for four people, and you even have storage space for all your luggage or any board games or snacks you feel like bringing along for your perfect getaway.
Airstreams
If you fancy sleeping under the stars but with protection from all the elements, then an Airstream getaway is for you. Comfortably sleeping two or three people, these quirky caravans include pillows, bedding, heating, USB charging points, storage, lighting, space to sit and relax and much more. You’ll also have a table and chairs – perfect for dining al fresco in the warmer months. Guests have access to all the hostel’s facilities – including the self-catering kitchen and bathroom facilities – so you can cook up a storm or freshen up after a night under the stars.
Tipis
Why not stop in one of our tipis? They can sleep up to four people on mattresses and include bedding and a lockable coffee chest. You’ll also find beanbags, a wood burner and lighting – perfect for a truly bohemian glamping experience with an added element of comfort. What better way to sleep under the stars in style?
Cabins
Our rustic six-sided cabins are great for getting closer to nature. The builds are made from timber and are fully insulated, meaning you will be definitely protected from the elements for an extra cosy stay. The cabins sleep four or five people comfortably and all bedding is included so relax and have a good night’s sleep. Our deluxe cabins also have an en-suite bathroom!
Safari tents
Go wild glamping in one of our safari tents. Created for groups that like to move about, each safari tent has two bedrooms and sleeps up to six guests comfortably, a campers’ kitchen and spacious outside decking with a BBQ – perfect for hosting in the warmer months. With a stay in a safari tent, you’re sure to have a memorable stay getting closer to nature.
Chalets
Treat yourself to a countryside chalet retreat. Situated on the grounds of YHA Ninebanks, the chalet is made up of two studio rooms fully kitted out with a shower room, kitchenette, table, sitting area and a cosy wood-burning stove. A perfect glamping getaway with loved ones.
