City hostels great for meetings
YHA York makes a fab place to brainstorm ideas – look out for murals explaining our relationship with Rowntree’s, plus some inspiring examples of vintage advertising. The hostel is home to three well-equipped meeting rooms, including the sweet Rowntree Suite! YHA Manchester is a vibrant setting with plenty of space for large conferences. Plan a day exploring the city’s industrial heritage (did you know it’s the official City of Science?) or reward a hard day of reviewing your targets with a taste of Manchester nightlife.
If you want to let your hair down, hire out the karaoke room at YHA Brighton and see your colleagues as you’ve never seen them before! YHA Cardiff Central also has a meeting room full of comfy purple beanbags if you’re feeling informal – we promise we won’t tell your CEO. Want to visit an upcoming city that’s as green as our logo? YHA Bristol has two great spaces to book, both complete with air conditioning.

Who wouldn’t feel refreshed after a trip to the Lake District? This scenic area is home to 18 hostels, many with bright and airy meeting rooms. YHA Ambleside has conference space for up to 50 delegates and Lake Windermere is just outside – how about joining an organised wild swim or hiring some canoes for the day with your team?
YHA Castleton Losehill Hall has a fantastic set up for a work away day including a spacious meeting room with full AV projection equipment, a 6-chanel mixer amplifier and two microphones. This refurbished mansion makes a great base to explore Peak District attractions you’ll find all the modern facilities you need on site.
For adrenaline-junkies, YHA Edale has a variety of exciting activities to bond over. Their activity centre has experienced instructors and a range of fun adventures on land, underground and water to try – perfect for a memorable day of team building. With its remote location, spectacular views and open-access moorland at the bottom of the garden, it’ll be hard leaving this Peak District hostel to go back to the office…
