For school groups staying at the YHA Grinton Lodge, we can offer our new Multi-Activity package, which includes guided walks across the moors, local history and geography sessions, archery, shelter building, fire lighting and orienteering. Okehampton
At YHA Okehampton, our on-site activities can include archery, bush craft, low ropes course, orienteering, climbing wall, cycle tours, team building exercises and night walks/navigation challenges. Ravenstor
At YHA Ravenstor, we offer a number of activities on site for school groups to take part in and the hostel grounds are perfect for activities such as archery, orienteering, shelter building, fire lighting and a number of team challenge activities, or for the more adventurous, climbing and caving locally, not to mention an incredible abseil of a nearby viaduct, part of the Monsal Trail. All activities are demonstrated by experienced and trained staff, so we can assure you that all school groups are in safe hands.
 The activity school groups will be guided through the basic skills required, enabling participants to experience the adrenaline rush as they push their personal boundaries and their confidence grows. Combining skill and strength, they will come away with a sense of satisfaction and a taste for adventure. We work with the leaders to ensure that the programme, venue and content are all adjusted to optimise both the group and individual learning opportunities.
We can also work to provide accessible adventures for all – any group can add on some activity inputs to enhance their stay. Our accommodation and many activities are accessible to groups or individuals with significant learning and/or physical disabilities.
