The clocks have gone forward, Easter is behind us and we’re now full steam ahead towards that balmy summer we’re absolutely owed after one of the coldest winters in recent memory! Which all means only one thing: festival season is almost upon us.

Whether it’s the latest chart-topping superstars you’re into or the more undiscovered, burgeoning talents of the musical world who please your ear, England and Wales is blessed with festivals to suit everyone’s tastes. However, we know that the British weather and the camping facilities that go with these fab festivals sometimes just don’t quite get on. Our comfy beds and lovely warm showers are just what you need to get you through the weekend refreshed and ready for more.

For lovers of a city fest…

Tramlines

22-24th July 2022, Hillsborough Park, Sheffield

One of a horde of city centre festivals which have cropped up to rival the established names in recent years, Tramlines, Sheffield’s premier music festival, has grown to become a thriving summer celebration across five stages. This year, the festival has attracted artists including Sam Fender, Kasabian and Maddess to its three-day line-up.

All Points East

 Friday 19 – Saturday 20 August, and Thursday 25 August – Sunday 28 August 2022 

Victoria Park‎, London

All Points East is a brand new, ten day music fiesta in East London’s beautiful Victoria Park, encompassing a three day music festival, a community focused programme of midweek entertainment and three major All Points East Presents headline shows. The festival itself has a vast and varied line up, and will be a hit with lovers of indie.

Kendal Calling

28-31st July 2022, Lowther Deer Park, Lake District

Born from a group of music lovers’ desire to see the fabulous fields of the Lake District put to better use, Kendal Calling is now considered the Lake District’s number one music festival. Headline slots include the likes of Stereophonics, Bastille and The Kooks, all set to thrill large crowds on the edge of the National Park.

29-31st July 2022, Pikehall, Derbyshire

Buried in a tiny village in the Peak District, Y Not has grown into the area’s biggest festival which attracts music lovers from far and wide for a yearly celebration. With a fancy dress-themed day, super food and drink and a high-quality line up, the festival is hoping to return bigger and better than ever in 2022. Acts performing this summer include Sterophonics, Courtneers and Blossoms.

Camp Bestival

28-31st July 2022, Lulworth Castle, East Lulworth, Dorset.

Camp Bestival is one of the UK’s best-loved family festivals combining action-packed festival adventures with a fantastic family camping holiday. From live acts such as Rag n Boneman to theatre and art shows and plenty of other family friendly entertainment.

Glastonbury

22-26th June 2022, Somerset

Glastonbury Festival is now the largest open-air music and performing arts festival in the world. The lineup includes Billie Elish, Diana Ross, Paul McCartney, plus plenty more amazing performers. There’s plenty for the little ones to enjoy too, from the fairground, theatre and circus!

Purbeck Valley Folk Festival

18-21st August 2022, Purbeck Valley Farmhouse, Corfe Castle, Dorset

A small festival set on a farm on the beautiful Jurassic Coastline, Purbeck Valley Folk Festival features outstanding, original folk music across four stages. The event also provides music workshops, sessions, poetry, a children’s area and more! The festival is located in an idyllic landscape with beautiful views across to Corfe Castle.

Boardmasters

10-14th August 2022, Watergate Bay/Fistral Beach, Newquay, Cornwall

Boardmasters is a celebration of surf and music, inspired by the freedom, creativity and adventure that both can offer. The five-day event is situated across two stunning locations near Newquay – the surfing mecca of Fistral Beach, where world class surf events frequently take place, and Watergate Bay, a stunning location in which to enjoy live music. This year’s line-up includes George Ezra, Disclosure and Kings of Leon.
