Stony Path in the Lake District

Our hostels are set in glorious locations, in the countryside, by the sea and in major cities. So there’s something for everyone.

Take a family trip to York and walk the roman walls, clamber up a crag in the Lakes and admire the stunning landscapes and local wildlife, take a boat out and go seal spotting when you stay in Norfolk, go solo stomping through the Peaks and make new friends in the hostel, couple up and spot butterflies on the South Downs. With so many of our hostels located in National Parks or Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty there is so much to explore. Gather for a holiday, plan your autumn trip.

Plan a wedding

A wedding at YHA Ilam Hall

Say I do in one of our beautiful historic properties. We have some unique wedding venues, located in picturesque parts of the Peak District and Shropshire. YHA Wilderhope Manor is a Grade I listed Elizabethan Manor, YHA Hartington Hall is a 17th-century manor house and YHA Ilam Hall is a 17th-century gothic manor overlooking National Trust grounds, the Peaks and a quaint church.

If you’d prefer to marry outside, then YHA Hartington Hall offers the opportunity from the Pavilion which overlooks the lawns. We can cater for a large range of party sizes, as well as a variety of budgets. And of course, one of the main benefits of booking your wedding with YHA is the brilliant accommodation we can provide, removing much of the hassle that the logistics of planning a wedding can create. We even have bridal and honeymoon suites.
