Can’t wait to get glamping this summer? Many of our hostels are welcoming gorgeous new arrivals for the warm season, with camping pods, premium bell tents and tipis landing in our gardens and grounds. If you enjoy camping but prefer a few home comforts – or just fancy a new experience outdoors – our YHA glamping alternatives are for you.
Here’s what’s new in Camping and Cabins…
Premium Bell Tents
Want that festival feeling in the grounds of a hostel? Our new premium bell tents are part of our YHA glamping experience and offer a spacious environment to chill out in. They can sleep four people and are kitted out with a double bed, two single beds and bedding. You’ll also find beanbags to relax on, eco-friendly lighting and stylish bohemian furniture. We introduced bell tents over summer last year, but these new premium models boast a wood-burner to keep you even cosier.
Lake District Tipis
Between Easter and October, two of our Lake District sites will also become home to some lovely new tipis! Book now at YHA Hawkshead or YHA Windermere and stay in one of these quirky and brightly-coloured tents. The tipis can sleep up to four people on mattresses and include bedding and a lockable coffee chest. You’ll also find beanbags and lighting – perfect for fun Lakeland adventures with an added element of comfort.
Get a view of the stars and a great night’s sleep with the new Camping Pods at YHA Brecon Beacons and YHA New Forest. If you’ve stayed in one of these beauties before, you’ll know they’re like domed wooden tents and are well protected from the elements. The Large Pod Plus models have a double futon and two single beds, so you don’t even have to bring a camping mat or sleeping bag. With heating inside and a decking area outside, add some luxury to your YHA glamping adventure.
Take a look at our hostel pages for more details about each location’s new accommodation and the dates available. Some hostels will have separate new toilet and shower blocks especially for their campers and there are even sites offering ‘Wild Camping’ for the more adventurous.
